Miss Ranch Days Pageant
The pageant will begin Saturday, May 5th at 10AM at the Main Stage with Interviews. Photos will be submitted at this time. Contestants will then deliver their speech on stage. The Horsemanship category will begin at 1PM at the Barn Area. A demonstration of the Riding Pattern will be given at this time. Contestants need to be back at the Main Stage no later than 4:30PM for final modeling and awards ceremony at 5PM. Winners in each category are encouraged to attend the Ranch Days VIP party at 10PM Saturday night at the Barn Area.
Categories of Judging
Horsemanship (Ages 19-25 & 13-18 ONLY) - A contestant's ability to ride and her knowledge about equine science and general horsemanship are demonstrated through the riding of one or more patterns. The horsemanship pattern will include a brief interview focusing on horsemanship knowledge, the carrying of a flag and a queen's arena wave. These points are tallied to determine the total score in this category. The young lady with the best skills and most knowledge will be recognized. Contestants must wear blue jeans, white long-sleeve button front shirt, hat and boots. No adornment on clothing or horse allowed. Possible 60 points.
Photogenic
Scores will be based on a photograph the contestants submit. This photo will be used for scoring. Scores are based on the contestant’s attire, general attractiveness, and depth of personality (welcoming and friendly) shown and some consideration will be given to the quality of the photograph. Possible 15 points. ”
Speech
Scores based on the delivery and content of a prepared speech. Speech may not exceed five minutes in length. The contestant may choose from the following topics: Arkansas, The Brooks-Baxter War and the Battle at Palarm or a Memorable Family Vacation/Activity. Possible 30 points.
Interview
Scores based on the delivery and content of answers. Possible 60 points.
Appearance and Personality
Western attire is required during all events. Note special restrictions in Horsemanship. Scores in this category will be derived from all aspects of the pageant. Possible 15 points.
Congeniality
Fellow contestants will score Congeniality at the end of the pageant. Miss Congeniality will be recognized and the score will be used to break any ties.

Prizes:
Winners in each division will receive tiara, sash, prize package and entry paid to Miss Rodeo Arkansas Pageant (Ages 19-25 & 13-18 only)
